Restaurant



I am happy to tell you about my restaurant, where culinary traditions and high-quality products are central. Born and raised in Napoli, I import most of my products, including the world famous tomatoes, which are the basis for almost every dish on our menu.

For the very best pasta and bread we use only the highest quality "OO" flour, where quality and affordability go hand in hand. Our tiramisu is a real winner, made according to a secret recipe with 64 kinds of spices, passed down from my late mother.

We understand the importance of meeting our guests' specific dietary needs and allergies. That is why we always ask that you report any adjusted food instructions in advance, so that we can be sure that you have an unforgettable experience in our restaurant.

In September 2019, my family and I took over the acclaimed restaurant "Pulcinella" and after intensive reorganization efforts, we are proud to present our unique pizza styles from Napoli. Each pizza is prepared with the utmost care and precision in our wood-fired oven, following the traditional Neapolitan method. After the challenges that the Corona pandemic has brought us, we decided to give the restaurant a new identity and name it "Nunzio". We look forward to welcoming you and offering you a taste of our Neapolitan masterpieces.

Nunzio ​The Boss

I was born and raised in Boscoreale, Napoli and moved to England at a young age. At the young age of 11 I started my career in the hospitality industry as a salesperson in a bread and coffee shop in Cambridge, UK. Throughout my career I have gained years of experience in 5-star hotels and top Italian restaurants in various countries, including England, Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands.

I have worked as a manager in several restaurants, including De L'Europe in Amsterdam, and opened my own successful restaurant in 2012 until 2019, when it was sold under the name Nunzio Due Napoletani.

I am proud of the various awards I have received, including Tripadvisor Awards 2016-2019 and the title of "Best Pasta of the Year" in 2017. I am determined to take Pizzeria Nunzio to the next level and offer our guests a refreshing and modern Italian cuisine.

My aim is to take the top spot, as second place does not get the same recognition and appreciation as first place. I am determined to achieve this goal with the support and cooperation of qualified employees.






 

 


Haidi ​The Wife

My wife Haidi is not from Italy, but from the tropical country of Suriname (Paramaribo), born in December 1963. Despite the fact that she has no Italian roots, she considers herself 50% Italian after 30 years of marriage. Known for her warm personality and good heart, Haidi always strives to make our guests feel at home in our restaurant.

In 1987 Haidi moved to Amsterdam, where she met me in 1989. We have been happily married since 1990. Haidi is an important member of our team and always goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that our guests have a comfortable and pleasant experience in our restaurant.
